CONTROL Resonant PC Edition: Steam, Epic and GeForce NOW Status
CONTROL Resonant is out on PC via Steam, the Epic Games Store and GeForce NOW. Specs, Steam Deck support and post-launch performance fixes tracked here.
Is CONTROL Resonant on PC?
Yes — PC was a day-one platform, and the game is out now: it launched September 24, 2026 with the Steam, Epic Games Store and GeForce NOW routes all live. The NVIDIA RTX 50 bundle was the launch-window free-copy path on PC; its purchase window closed September 29, but issued codes still redeem.
The official specs are approachable: a GTX 1070 or RX 5600 XT meets the minimum, an RTX 3070 or RX 6700 XT hits recommended, and 16 GB of RAM is the ask at both tiers. The full tables live on the system requirements page.
What do you need to run it well?
Three things stand out from the official listing. First, the GPU bar is low for 2026 — coverage from wccftech describes the requirements as modest. Second, RAM is flat at 16 GB whether you are minimum or recommended, so there is no memory upgrade cliff. Third, and most commonly overlooked: the game installs to an SSD, and Rock Paper Shotgun flagged the footprint as unusually large — clear disk space before launch night.
| Spec | Minimum | Recommended |
|---|---|---|
| CPU | i5-8500 class | Ryzen 7 3700X class |
| RAM | 16 GB | 16 GB |
| GPU | GTX 1070 / RX 5600 XT (6 GB) | RTX 3070 / RX 6700 XT (8 GB) |
| Storage | SSD required | SSD required |
What about Windows version and other platforms?
The Steam listing specifies Windows 10 or 11, 64-bit only. Remedy’s FAQ confirmed Steam Deck support at launch, and it shipped with the release build. Cloud players are covered too: GeForce NOW streams the game alongside Steam and Epic, following Alan Wake 2’s availability on the service.
Post-launch, the patch train has been active: update 1.4.0 fixed over-saturated HDR highlights in the AgX tonemapper — a PC-graphics-specific fix — alongside combat rebalancing and New Game++.
Where does the PC version launch first?
Every platform — PC included — goes live on the same September 24, 2026 date; there is no PC delay as with some cross-platform launches. The release date page breaks down the full timeline, and console players can compare notes on the PS5 edition.
